The Heart & Hearth Society is a monthly mail club devoted to bringing the stories of Christian women from church history back into the light. Each month, I choose one woman from the past and tell part of her story through original illustration, thoughtful writing, and beautiful paper goods delivered straight to your mailbox. Some of these women are well known, while others have been almost forgotten. But all of them have something to teach us about what faithfulness can look like in real life.
I’m especially interested in the ordinary parts of their stories: the homes they cared for, the people they welcomed, the work they carried out, the prayers they prayed, the families they loved, and the small daily choices through which they sought to honour God.
The Heart & Hearth Society brings together church history, storytelling, art, and the simple joy of receiving meaningful mail. My hope is that each month feels a little like opening a storybook from the past, and meeting a woman whose life is worth remembering.
